JOHNSONVILLE PROJECT MOVING FORWARD

The Rose of Sharon Church & Ministries of Liberia is steadily moving forward with its newest project in Lower Johnsonville, Montserrado County, Liberia. A parcel of land was purchased in September 2012 as a new home for the church and school. As we anticipate moving over in June 2013, the school is taking on a new name. Our school will now be called THE ROSE OF SHARON FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SYSTEM. The name of the church remains the same. Here is the picture of some 3000 Eco-friendly blocks already molded. These cheap blocks made of mud mixed with water are left in the sun to dry. It takes four days of real sun to dry the blocks. Once they are dried, the blocks become very hard and ready for laying.

When our team from Tenth Presbyterian Church visited the Rose of Sharon School in April 2013 we were very impressed with how well the children knew and were able to recite the Westminster Shorter Catechism and a supporting Scripture verse for each question. Good work! They will have a good foundation for their future in life and faith.
